Three AJ+C projects shortlisted in the 2020 AIA NSW State Awards
AJ+C has been recognised by the Australian Institute of Architects with three projects shortlisted in the 2020 NSW State Awards. Shortlisted projects include:
Cardinal Freeman Shortlisted for:Urban Design. The master plan and buildings by AJ+C breathes new life into the site, delivering significant new open spaces while preserving and highlighting its heritage value, and bringing a new level of resident amenity and community engagement.
The Burcham, Rosebery Shortlisted for: Residential Architecture – Multi Housing. This remarkable project embraces the site’s unique history, re-using the former 1918 Wrigley’s Gum Factory building as residential apartments. Our additions included: two new 4 and 5 storey apartment buildings.
Meriden School – Lingwood Shortlisted for: Education Architecture. The design incorporates six new low-rise classrooms and the refurbishment of Lingwood House, a heritage-listed Federation house on the site, with adjoining outdoor spaces landscaped for learning and play.
