  • Allen Jack+Cottier is home to great architects, designers and office professionals and we are currently seeking an experienced HR Manager to providing support and advice to over 80 professional staff. This broad generalist role includes coaching managers on employee relations matters and focusing on a wide range of HR functions including:

  • Allocation of architectural staff to relevant project work.
  • Recruitment and induction of new staff.
  • Performance management including coordination of the annual review process.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant employment legislation.
  • Maintenance of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with Work, Health and Safety requirements.
  • Managing the Injury Reporting, Worker’s Compensation and Return to Work processes.

  • As a HR professional with high integrity, you will also possess the following:

  • The ability to communicate and influence effectively with all levels of employees.
  • A proven track record in the delivery of a range of HR activities.
  • Well-developed consulting skills and HR generalist experience.
  • Sound knowledge of HR policies, procedures and systems.
  • The capability to operate autonomously.
  • Relevant qualifications in HR or related discipline.
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in a generalist HR role.
  • Knowledge of HR best practice and the Fair Work Act workplace legislation is expected as is Microsoft proficiency.

    AJ+C are currently seeking an experienced Submissions Coordinator to join our team of talented designers and support staff. This role reports to the Practice Manager and will work closely with senior staff in the planning, coordination, preparation and production of high quality submissions. In addition there will be an opportunity to lead the business development aspect of our Marketing and Rebrand project working closely with the Communications Manager. The position forms part of our Communications team and will also assist with media liaison and research, our marketing strategy and related internal/external collateral (including publications newsletters, website and intranet).

    The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years relevant experience preferably in a design, engineering or related field
  • Advanced writing and editorial skills
  • A strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated confidence in researching, drafting and compiling mandatory submission content sections and responses
  • Outstanding internal and external stakeholder management
  • Excellent Microsoft office and graphics skills preferably Adobe Indesign
  • Experience with web content development

    Senior Urban Designer

    description

AJ+C Architects are seeking a Senior Urban Designer to join our team. This is an opportunity to work on a range of small to large scale urban design and place making projects. Based in our Sydney studio, you will work on complex projects within a multi -disciplinary design team of urban design and architecture professionals. AJ+C work with a range of clients in the public and private sectors from state government agencies, local councils, urban and land developers. We collaborate with talented planners and landscape architects to provide an integrated outcome. As a senior urban designer you will:

  • Provide technical and urban design advice to a range of clients working from feasibility, master planning through to detailed urban design solutions
  • Review design, planning and environmental constraints, develop land use alternatives and opportunities
  • Coordinate with clients and consultants to deliver integrated projects with inputs from other disciplines
  • Contribute to the production of high quality graphics and documentation with review from Leader or Director
  • Project manage projects for both private and public sector clients including scoping, budgeting, reporting on key milestones
  • Assist in the preparation of job pitches
