  • Lead the development of design solutions through analysis, communication and balancing of objectives.

  • Develop and implement project planning with staff.
  • Self-directed provision of construction services on projects of a moderate complexity and size.

    About the Role

  • Built form, street layout and public realm design.
  • Feasibility studies from back-of-the-envelope through to implementation.
  • Qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Preparation of reports, drawings and presentations.

  • Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Qualification in Architecture required.
  • Minimum 3 years professional experience post-graduation, including in specific urban design roles.
  • Qualifications in Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning as well as Green Star (or equivalent) certifications desirable.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as within a collaborative team environment.

  • Support the Practice Manager as required with number of working groups, reviewing consultancy contracts and assisting with the preparation of fees and scopes by Directors
  • Maintain AJ+C’s ISO9001 certified Quality Management System
  • Oversee AJ+C’s Work, Health and Safety System and Program
  • Generally maintaining, coordinating, instructing, and managing upwards

  • Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Masters qualifications in Architecture, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience post-graduation
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and enact change programs across a business
  • Superior ability to solve ambiguous problems
  • Strong communication skills including careful listening, written and face to face communication
