This is the story of three homes, one couple, and a carefully staged architectural transition: from a tired old farmhouse, to a recently completed studio, and ultimately to a soon-to-be constructed, strikingly contemporary home. On one site, high on the hills behind Kiama.

The owners: a businessman and writer who’d years ago sought a ‘perfect escape from city life’, finding nirvana on a farm straddling a rolling ridgetop with glorious views in all directions.
