Kate is a senior urban designer with 20 years of international and local experience in Master Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, Sustainable Design, Design Management and Project Management gained in the public and private sectors.
Kate brings extensive experience and practical working knowledge to the team in the design and delivery of significant place making, urban design and public domain projects. She has particular skills in master planning, feasibility, concept design, urban design guidelines, townscape and public realm design, and specialist roles.
She has been involved in a wide range of projects working across diverse industries from new towns, public realm, urban renewal, resorts, land development, university campuses, parks and open spaces, local communities, government, commercial developers, infrastructure and defence.
In addition, she has worked on a number of significant urban design projects like Gold Coast Rapid Transit Phase 2 Corridor Study, and innovative and iconic local places like South Bank Precinct Masterplan and Energex Arbour Brisbane; Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, MASDAR City, Abu Dhabi and Breakfast Point Master Plan, Sydney.
Kate’s all round experience has developed through creativity, problem solving and design working with multi-disciplinary teams, as an integral part of a team and as a leader, to achieve pragmatic outcomes and innovative design solutions that are responsive to place.
