News: Out of Hours 2
Allen Jack+Cottier staff have gone beyond architecture to express their creativity at the second annual staff exhibition ‘Out of Hours’. Taking off their work hats and slipping into their after-hours personas, the AJ+C staff show off the fruits of their pursuits outside of work. The staff, from Principals through to the designers and the administrative team, exhibit drawings, paintings, prints, jewellery, sculpture, and even work in digital media. Following its move to the Myrtle Street office in November 2005, the practice has emphasised a creative studio-like environment, and ‘Out of Hours’ is an initiative that encourages this work ethos. “This exhibition celebrates the unique creativity and self-expression of our workmates and the artistic pursuits that inspire them and enhance their lives,” says Senior Associate Scott Norton.
Out of Hours 2 is open for public viewing until 26 September between 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday at the Allen Jack+Cottier reception foyer. Allen Jack+Cottier, Level 2, 79 Myrtle Street, Chippendale
