Paddington Green

Paddington, Sydney, NSW, Australia

data, awards, description

Paddington Green is a part of the large-scale, inner-city redevelopment of the former Royal Women’s Hospital and is located two kilometres east of Sydney’s CBD. The site comprises seven precincts of terrace houses and apartment buildings designed by three different architectural firms. Selected as the architects for Precincts Four and Five, Allen Jack+Cottier designed 21 terraces that face each other across a newly created road (Flinton Terrace) which bisects the site. Allen Jack+Cottier’s design is a modern interpretation of the surrounding Victorian terraces. Each individual house includes three large bedrooms, north facing living areas, passive solar design and underground car parking.
