The soldier artwork, designed by Michael Heenan of Allen Jack+Cottier Architects, adorns a new six-storey aged care facility on Engadine Town Square, above their Anzac Memorial.

The towering, proud soldier, constructed of copper strips fixed to timber batons, will stand guard over the town Square for decades to come. Vietnam veterans, soldiers from Holsworthy base and their families gathered to celebrate the first unveiling of the artwork.
