The overall strategy identifies ways to improve and integrate all the uses around Mount Panorama and the surrounding area. Mount Panorama is a spectacularly beautiful place with an array of possible other uses, such as a people’s playground, aboriginal dream time pathways, local sporting venues and great ecology of nature.

The Allen Jack+Cottier team, led by director Michael Heenan and project architect John Whittingham, responsible for the Bathurst Mt Panorama project are fast developing a reputation for tackling unusual and challenging projects.

The redesign of Stage One of the Mount Panorama race track facility, completed with spectacular results in less than12 months within tight budget and timing constraints, is no exception.

The result at Mt Panorama is nothing short of spectacular, worthy of its site on a hill under the bright blue Bathurst sky. The Mount Panorama pit and facilities building is now worthy of a racetrack of international standard, both in terms of its functionality and its aesthetics The $25-30 million redevelopment, of which this is Stage One ($17 million) will open to the public on 6 October 2004.
