Training and professional development are important tools to help AJ+C achieve high quality design. We provide all employees with training and professional development opportunities including an annual calendar of in-house continuing professional education (CPE) events for employees. These events are conducted by internal and external presenters and meet the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia (AACA) framework for continuing education.
We support staff through the Board of Architects’ registration process by providing them with a sufficient variety of experience and via in-house training sessions that ensure that applicants have the knowledge and confidence to satisfy the registration board.
In 2007, AJ+C held a Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) Green Star accreditation training day at our Sydney Office. We invited clients and consultants to join our staff in the training to ensure that participants got as much out of the day as possible. The practice now employs over 25 GBCA Green Star Accredited Professionals.
We also encourage our staff to undertake further study and offer flexible working hours to accommodate staff who choose to study.
