Allen Jack+Cottier provided architectural services for the southern Brisbane warehouse and office of the international laminate giant, ABET Laminati.
Remarkably original Completed in 2007, ABET Laminati’s Queensland warehouse and office is a building of distinct identity. Allen Jack+Cottier’s Brisbane office provided architectural services on this project, ranging from assisting with site selection through to building finishes and fitout. The building’s design is as contemporary and unique as ABET’s laminate products, some of which were incorporated into the design.
Visible heritage The new warehouse and office’s opening coincided with the 50th anniversary of the company’s establishment. An Italian design company with a contemporary Australian presence – the ABET story is reflected in the building’s innovative style. Several walls are clad with external laminate panels and an operable louvre wall on the western façade controls solar access as well as a feature graphic created by Jackie Dean Photography.
