Opened in 2013, Rydges Sydney International Airport Hotel offers comfort, convenience and clever design just steps away from the terminal.
Perfectly positioned Allen Jack+Cottier was commissioned to deliver a brand-new international-standard hotel within walking distance of Sydney International Airport. Positioned within the airport zone, just a minute’s walk from the terminal, the hotel’s location would negate the need for taxis or shuttles either side of a long flight.
The process The Sydney Airport Corporation Limited (SACL) provided an approved Development Application, and requested AJ+C to investigate opportunities to develop the design into a ‘landmark’ building. Working within a tight timeframe, AJ+C focused on providing clear, concise and complete construction documentation. This resulted in the striking, 4.5-star Rydges Sydney Airport Hotel.
In-transit comfort As well as a great location, the hotel offers guests 318 well-appointed rooms, plus two restaurants, a small business centre, shop, 24-hour gym, a laundrette and car parking.
