AJC Architects Hosts The Vine by Parlour – A Night of Mentorship and Connection

On Wednesday 14 May, AJC Architects proudly hosted The Vine by Parlour—a dynamic speed mentoring event designed to foster meaningful conversations and connections across the architecture profession.

The Vine is part of Parlour’s ongoing commitment to support equity in architecture through events that build community, share knowledge, and strengthen networks. Co-founded by Justine Clark, Parlour is a highly respected platform that champions gender equity and broader inclusion within the built environment professions. Justine’s leadership and continued advocacy have helped reshape the conversation around equity in architecture, and The Vine exemplifies that mission in action.

The event welcomed more than 90 participants, including 22 mentors from six leading studios: AJC, BVN, Hassell, FJC Studio, and HDR. In an open and supportive setting, students and recent graduates connected with experienced practitioners to explore the challenges and opportunities of practice today, with a focus on diversity, inclusion, and community.

AJC extends its sincere thanks to all mentors, mentees, and collaborators who made the evening such a success. The firm remains committed to fostering equity, connection, and leadership in the built environment industry.

The energy in the room was incredibly uplifting. Mentorship is so powerful—especially when it creates space for honest conversations, shared experiences, and new perspectives. We’re proud to support initiatives like The Vine that nurture the next generation of architects.

Lynette Apostolou, Chief Operating Officer at AJC Architects.
