AJC welcome Kelly Green as Studio Lead

We’re very excited to harness Kelly’s great experience in planning, social housing and placemaking

Brian Mariotti, Director

AJC welcomed Kelly Green as Studio Lead, Design, to our Sydney studio in February 2022.

Kelly returned to Australia after 17 years in London, working as a Project Lead on some of the city’s most progressive placemaking, social housing and cultural projects. These include the 468-dwelling Great Eastern Quays Phase 2, Gallions Quarter 3B (238 dwellings / 50% social housing), St Marys Hospital Outpatients Building and the enigmatic Oxford University Bodleian Book Storage Facility, built to a 100-year life span as one of six Legal Deposit Libraries housing the intellectual record and published heritage of the UK and Ireland.

“Covid threw us all into turmoil, but also helped put priorities in perspective, so we came back to Australia to be near family. Returning to Sydney, I asked colleagues and contacts “what’s a good practice to work in – one where they care about people?” That was key to me joining AJC – along with its commitment to social purpose architecture, which aligns with mine.” —Kelly Green, Studio Lead, AJC

Kelly will work with Director Brian Mariotti across a variety of multi-residential, mixed-use and student accommodation projects.

“We’re very excited to harness Kelly’s great experience in planning, social housing and placemaking, and her ability to build rapport and consensus between clients, stakeholders, contractors and design teams. That takes a cool head, a steady hand and deep respect for people.” —Brian Mariotti, Director, Architecture, AJC
