AJC x Smeg host 2026 WAF Presentation Preparation Evening
August 2026
Ahead of the 2026 World Architecture Festival, AJC and Smeg hosted our annual WAF Presentation Preparation Evening, bringing Australia’s architecture and design community together to support Australian finalists as they prepared to present on the world stage.
Held at Smeg’s showroom in Alexandria, the evening gave WAF finalists the opportunity to rehearse their presentations in front of experienced WAF judges and an industry audience.
WAF Programme Director Paul Finch joined from London to open the evening, followed by presentations from Matthew Todd of Architectus on UNSW Health Translation Hub, Andreas Antoniades of Antoniades Architects on Y Suites on Margaret, and Adrian McGregor of McGregor Coxall on Aldea Tropical.
Judges Ian Moore, Chris Major, Chris Bosse and AJC Director Michael Heenan shared feedback and insights on building a clear narrative, communicating the ideas behind a project and making every minute of a WAF presentation count.
Thank you to Smeg for hosting the evening and for their generous hospitality, and to everyone who joined us.
We wish all the Australian finalists the very best at WAF 2026.
