The spirit of nature Immense, bustling and purposeful, Beijing is a truly 21st century city. A nature-filled public space covering an entire city block, Five Petal Square is a modern park for a modern city.
A multi-layered approach Beijing’s new public park connects the city’s many layers – commercial and residential, cultural and natural, and its all-important transportation. Retail, exhibition and car parking areas are found below the park, while office space stands tall above ground. This approach creates an interconnected space uniting the modern and traditional, and presents ample opportunity for events and social activity.
Reflecting the seasons Five Petal Square comprises a forest, a gorge, a valley, rocky cliffs and a meandering plain leading to a river. This urban oasis is complemented by evergreens, while seasonal grasses, trees and plants change colour throughout the year.
