    The purpose of this role is to have strategic oversight of the marketing and business development function to develop initiatives that position AJ+C as a leading design practice.
    As an integral role in the practice support team you will work with the Directors and leadership team to provide the knowledge, resources and strategies that help AJ+C deliver exceptional client services, win project opportunities in the marketplace and support AJ+C’s strategic goals.

    Marketing and Communications

  • Key role in driving brand awareness and developing the marketing strategy for AJ+C
  • Lead the AJ+C brand refresh as a key deliverable in 2020
  • Responsible for AJ+C brand management and corporate identity including all marketing assets
  • Develop the digital marketing communications strategies including positioning, target audience, channels, customer acquisition and retention
  • Analyse and interpret data to understand customer behaviour and define customer segments
  • Manage and assist the marketing and communications coordinator in implementation and execution of key initiatives, internal and external events, and promotional campaigns
  • Responsible for developing the budget, marketing and communications plan, and industry alignment with associations

  • Business Development

  • Advise and support the leadership team and key personnel in developing relationships with new and existing clients, in markets aligned with AJ+C strategic goals
  • Implementation of Salesforce system to assist with business development and marketing strategies
  • Manage and oversee the submissions coordinator to manage the pipeline process, clarify and articulate methodologies prepared by the architecture teams and develop content for submissions

  • Skills + Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in leading marketing strategy and / or business development
  • Experience in digital marketing and communications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business Studies, Communications or related field
  • Proven track record in executing complex projects
  • Ability to effectively build strong relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally
  • Experience in architecture, property, construction or other related industry desirable

    Salesforce Administrator (Part-time)


    Allen Jack+Cottier(AJ+C) is home to great architects, designers and office professionals. We currently seek an experienced Salesforce administrator to provide support and advice to over 80 professional staff.

  • Fixed term contract (12 months)
  • Part time (24 hours a week); various flexible arrangements will be considered

  • Position Summary
    Working in our Design & Information Technologies Team and reporting to the Practice Manager, the Salesforce Administrator will lead the ongoing development and maintenance of our salesforce-based system. This role is part technical, part Salesforce administrator and part business analyst. The Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for the execution of day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance and improvement of our platform.


  • Salesforce Admin certified

  • Experience required:

  • Minimum two years of experience as a administrator
  • Experience with Large Data Volume implementations in Salesforce
  • Strong understanding of the platform with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity
  • Ability to translate business needs into requirements, effectively present information verbally and in written form

  • Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Serve as AJC’s primary system administrator for the Salesforce environment
  • Lead the on-going development and maintenance of Salesforce in the business
  • Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades
  • Assist in training users and grow the Salesforce skill set across the business
  • Identify and prevent pain points in system adoption and features rollouts
  • Coordinate the evaluation, scope and completion of new development requests
  • Manage reports & dashboard building and maintenance
  • Assist the IT team in communicating with external vendors and developers
  • Implement Salesforce automation (workflows, process builder, approval processes)
  • Communicate effectively with employees when troubleshooting Salesforce queries and meeting day to day business needs

  • Desirable capabilities:

  • Ability to read and write Apex classes and tests
  • Basic web development experience (JavaScript, HTML/CSS) to build custom components and features with Aura and/or Lightning web components
  • Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Developer certifications
  • Experience with Aprika Mission Control
  • Familiarity with SOQL queries
  • Analysis and design skills as well as strong attention to detail
