POSITION SUMMARY 

The purpose of this role is to support the project lead by leading and contributing to the production of design and building documentation.  

Strong proficiency in Revit is essential for this role.  

 AJ+C has projects that cover a variety of sectors so diverse experience across project types is desirable. 

 

Experience, skills + qualifications: 

 

  • • Diploma, Bachelor degree or Masters (minimum 7 years’ experience)  
  • • Strong proficiency in Revit  
  • • Demonstrated documentation and detailing experience  
  • • Dynamo, Grasshopper, Rhino, Adobe Creative Cloud Skills desirable  
  • • Sound understanding of BCA, Australian Standards and development controls  
  • • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written  

 

Key duties & responsibilities:

 

  • • Assist with producing high quality design and building documentation from conceptual plans to complete documentation packages  
  • • Coordinate and deliver work within the project requirements, deadlines, scope, and fee  
  • • Develop and draw to integrate / coordinate designs of other consultants  
  • • Lead and coach team members  
  • • Coordinate the revit model

POSITION SUMMARY

This is a 12-month fixed term role. The responsibilities cover the entire design process and works in collaboration with the architecture teams. This position would best suit a hands-on creative designer with good technical knowledge and experience in delivering projects from inception to completion.

What we are looking for:

  • • 5 to 8 years’ experience in interior design
  • • Experience across a broad range of projects including education, aged care and residential.
  • • Excellent creative thinking and design skill including colour and finishes coordination
  • • Excellent skills in preparing design presentations using Adobe CS
  • • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
  • • Advanced Revit and ability to deliver full documentation packages
  • • Ability to use excel to document schedules
  • • A thorough understanding of AS and the BCA
  •  • Motivated with a can do approach

POSITION SUMMARY
The Studio Lead – Design is a senior leadership role that builds AJ+C’s reputation for high quality design outcomes by delivering for our client relationships and their briefs.

With experience in education design projects, you will work closely with a Studio Director, to lead client relationships, and lead project teams in the design and delivery process. You will work beyond the projects alone, to lead and influence across the studio, particularly by championing our design methodology and developing design quality.

What we are looking for:

  • • Experience in a design and client focused role
  • • Experience in Education design work (including master planning)
  • • Established relationships within the Education sector
  • • Project leadership and delivery of projects through all phases
  • • Ability to lead a team delivering projects in Revit
  • • Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills

  • • Lead the design process on projects and apply creative design at all stages, including directly with the client and key stakeholders
  • • Deliver profitable work on projects
  • • Build your design reputation in a market and produce award-winning work

  • • Programming of work and resourcing
  • • Coordinating team members and external consultant team to deliver the work
  • • Working with the Design Lead to develop design concepts through the project lifecycle
  • • Managing delivery and risk across the project’s scope of work, contract requirements and financial outcomes
  • • Ensure project work are complying with AJ+C standards and quality systems
  • • Conduct project audits and technical reviews on other projects and contribute to working groups across the studio
