We are looking for a Design + Quality Manager to join our team in Sydney, with a focus on delivering project support and across the practice. This is a key leadership role within our practice, aimed at building the capabilities of an agile and collaborative workplace using our Quality Management System. About the Role
Improve operations and procedures that directly contribute to the quality of AJ+C’s design and professional services
Contribute to the development and guidance of employees at all levels in the practice
Seek business improvement opportunities across the practice
Coordinate Technical Reviews and a Design Workshopping process across the practice
Maintain operation and seek business improvement opportunities across various resources and systems such as our Standard details library, NATspec, NCC and Australian Standards
Support the Practice Manager as required with number of working groups, reviewing consultancy contracts and assisting with the preparation of fees and scopes by Directors
Maintain AJ+C’s ISO9001 certified Quality Management System
Oversee AJ+C’s Work, Health and Safety System and Program
Generally maintaining, coordinating, instructing, and managing upwards
Masters qualifications in Architecture, or equivalent.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience post-graduation
Proven ability to influence senior leaders and enact change programs across a business
Superior ability to solve ambiguous problems
Strong communication skills including careful listening, written and face to face communication
Passion to lead, coach and guide others
Effective presentation skills
Ability to work autonomously
Ability to perform well in a collaborative, team environment
