Mark is an award-winning architect with over 25 years’ experience across multi-residential, education, heritage, cultural, corporate interiors and urban design. His work is driven by narrative and contextual relevance, “and by opportunities to improve the public domain.”
As Studio Lead in multi-residential, Mark is leading the Falcon Street Crows Nest project. Its 85 homes include nine 3-storey terrace houses and 6-storey apartment blocks where ziggurat design and rejuvanted, landscaped laneways are part of the design to transition from the surrounding heritage area into a new low- to medium-density fringe.
An early influential project for Mark was working on a series of buildings for Gene and Brian Sherman, including the Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation (SCAF) in Paddington, Sydney, artist-in-residence studio, and the seminal Sherman Studio – a creative think-tank incorporating a historic corner shop and stables conserved and augmented with a sleek contemporary addition.
