Former Orange Base Hospital Site | Reference plan
A reference design for a Council-owned site seeking to generate interest in quality medium-density housing.
AJC worked with Source Architects for Orange City Council (OCC) to prepare a reference design for a Council-owned parcel of land identified for sale. OCC’s strategic planning team had identified medium-density housing as a strategic priority in the Orange LGA, which local developers and builders were not choosing to deliver.
Council was seeking a purchaser that would deliver quality medium-density housing on the site, as a demonstration that market support existed for new-build medium-density typologies. AJC led a small consultant team that provided urban design, architecture, quantity surveying and economic advice to prepare a reference design included with the sale of the property. The team included Source Architects who created the renders.
