Two UDIA Finalist Award Nods for Reddam House North Shore

We’re proud to announce that Reddam House North Shore has been named a finalist in two categories at the 2025 UDIA NSW Awards for Excellence — Urban Renewal and Social & Community Infrastructure.
This transformative project by AJC Architects, in collaboration with Inspired Education and Built, has reimagined the former Simsmetal House into a vibrant new K–12 campus that is already delivering lasting community benefit.
The adaptive reuse of this prominent North Shore site represents a bold example of urban renewal — turning an underutilised commercial building into an active, future-focused education and community hub. The campus brings new life and purpose to the area, enhancing access to high-quality private education while preserving the urban fabric.
Originally designed by renowned modernist architect Harry Seidler in 1971, the building’s distinctive form was retained and reinterpreted to suit contemporary learning needs. AJC’s design opens the building to light, landscape and movement, introducing generous outdoor terraces, improved connectivity and sustainability-driven upgrades.
More than just a school, Reddam House North Shore reflects a broader commitment to urban regeneration and the creation of socially valuable infrastructure. Congratulations to the full project team on this recognition.
