The Burcham has been recognised at the Australian Institute of Architects Awards – receiving a Commendation in Heritage Architecture.
The adaptive re-use of the Wrigley’s Chewing Gum Factory into residential warehouse apartments, creatively integrated with two new 4 and 5-storey apartment buildings, creates a sense of authentic character and place that can otherwise be difficult to achieve successfully in new development.
We would like to recognise the hard work, passion and dedication of everyone who contributed to this landmark building, setting new standards for sustainable urban infill.
