Westfield Chatswood

The redevelopment of Westfield Chatswood Shopping Centre included 11,000 m² of new building work and extensive refurbishment of the existing centre.

AJC provided fast-track design development and documentation of the Scentre Group concept design and were site based D&C architects during construction.
The $80M project added only 5% incremental retail area, but increased turnover by 25% and increased the centre from 43 to 21 in the ranking of major Australian retail centres.
The redevelopment is anchored by several mini-major tenants, including H&M, Uniqlo and Top Shop, and added Hawkers Lane, a popular Asian style food market.
At the project opening in November 2016, Scentre Group CEO, Peter Allen, congratulated the development team on achieving the fastest delivery of any Westfield development to date.
