WestInvest funds secured for new home for Parramatta PCYC

Venues NSW will deliver AJC’s design for a new home for PCYC NSW Parramatta under the $5 billion WestInvest program, completing the sporting and entertainment precinct at CommBank Stadium.

The $111 million five-storey building will include dance and music studios, a homework hub, indoor gyms and multi-sports courts. The new state-of-the-art facility will provide a new venue that is tailored to the growth, health and wellbeing of the region’s young people.

The PCYC NSW will be the anchor tenant in the new building, which will bring to life a vacant site between CommBank Stadium and Parramatta Leagues Club on O’Connell Street.

PCYC NSW CEO Dominic Teakle said, “PCYC is a youth charity that has been serving the community for 86 years, and in Parramatta since 1962.

“Our clubs provide for the wellbeing and fitness of the community, while providing life-changing programs in partnership with NSW Police in a safe place. PCYC teaches life skills to young people, which creates hope for a better future,” Mr Teakle said.

The WestInvest funding will allow PCYC to provide fit for purpose indoor sport and recreation facilities that serve the needs of the growing needs of this vibrant City of Parramatta.
