PCYC Walgett wins Community Facility of the Year

Designed by AJC Architects, PCYC Walgett won the 2022 Community Facility of the Year (NSW/ACT Region) Award from Parks & Leisure Australia.
Opened in December 2021, in the Central West NSW town of Walgett, this transformative community project is a joint initiative between PCYC NSW, the State Government and Walgett Shire Council. It brings state-of-the-art sports facilities to the region for the first time, along with health and business facilities, and PCYC’s youth empowerment programs.
Held by Parks & Leisure Australia, the National Awards of Excellence program recognises parks, leisure and recreation facilities that demonstrate outstanding innovation, design, development and operation. A celebration of those contributing to vibrant, healthy, and inclusive spaces for all, the awards promote the wise use of leisure time for a multitude of social, environmental, and economic benefits to the community.
