New Studio Leads at AJC

AJC Architects appoints Sarah Slattery and Michelle Farman as Studio Leads.

Two appointments made in mid 2023 strengthen two key domains for AJC — Sports & Community, and Multi-residential / Mixed-use — as major projects in both move into critical delivery stages.

Architect Sarah Slattery’s appointment as Studio Lead – Design is recognition of her outstanding work over five years in the practice. Having joined AJC in 2018, Sarah (pictured right) is now pivotal to the Sports & Community domain, working alongside Director John Whittingham.

Passionate about architecture that cultivates community, promotes health and wellbeing, Sarah is Project Architect on the $75 million Lane Cove Sports & Recreation Precinct, a project with Lane Cove Council that recently broke ground. She is also Studio Lead on AJC’s transformative projects with PCYC, and spearheads our Pro Bono collaborations, currently with AWF and My Home Disability Services.

Michelle Farman (pictured left) joined AJC in October 2023, bringing over 20 years’ experience as an architect, project leader and educator whose work spans the range of scales and typologies, from single dwellings and multi-residential developments to public, defence, sports, health and education projects and master planning.

As a Studio Lead at AJC, Michelle is working across the Oran Park mixed-use redevelopment, incorporating master planned multi-residential housing around the new town centre emerging around two premium commercial buildings by AJC – 3 Fordham Way and TRN House.

“I’m thrilled with these two new appointments. I’ve worked closely with Sarah and witnessed her growth and development and I welcome Michelle into the practice, who comes to AJC with a wealth of experience,” said AJC Director, John Whittingham.
