Against a backdrop of bushland and private garden the forms a rich visual amenity for both the occupants and the broader neighbourhood, the project responds harmoniously to the setting with its mix of 3-storey townhouses and 4-storey maisonette apartments.

Truslan Group engaged AJC to design a new benchmark in town-housing for 101 Eton Road to achieve the maximum yield for the site.

Against a backdrop of bushland and private garden the forms a rich visual amenity for both the occupants and the broader neighbourhood, the project responds harmoniously to the setting with its mix of 3-storey townhouses and 4-storey maisonette apartments.

AJC’s innovative design gave the stacked maisonettes individual lift access and their own generous, private outdoor space around which interiors are arranged.

The facade articulation and depth of shadow results from generous outdoor living terraces to individual homes. Each private terrace creates a seamless vista for owners of the native landscape located within the courtyard.

The strategy for movement throughout the site is driven by principles of legibility, connectivity and clarity. Pedestrian access and entries were a priority. Building entries connect with public space for safe and easy access. Building entries and their integration with landscape design helps forge an identity for the building and adds character to the streetscape.
